Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Gujarat lookalike, who sells Pani Puri, went viral as voting for the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections began earlier this month.
Anil Bhai Thakkar, who operates the Tulsi Pani Puri center in Gujarat’s Anand, is known as PM Modi by locals because his side profile and features are identical to that of the prime minister. His beard and haircut are a match for PM Modi’s.
Originally from Junagadh, Mr. Thakkar has been selling chat at the “Tulsi Pani Puri Center” since he was eighteen years old. His grandfather began the shop. Mr Mahante, a crowd-puller in his own right, who admires Prime Minister Modi and his political style.
Customers frequently take selfies with the 71-year-old due to his looks, he claims. I receive a lot of affection and respect from both residents and tourists because of my likeness to PM Modi, he remarked.
Mr Thakkar stated that he is highly impressed by the Prime Minister’s principles, and he, too, places a high importance on cleanliness.
Mr Thakkar is not PM Modi’s only lookalike. Vikas Mahante, who is from Mumbai’s Malad, also bears a striking likeness to the Prime Minister. Earlier recent year, a video of him playing garbha was mistaken for Prime Minister Modi’s deepfake.
The video’s legitimacy was first questioned, with speculation that it could be a deepfake.
