On Monday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was sent in judicial prison until April 15 in connection with a liquor policy issue. The Enforcement Directorate appeared in court with Arvind Kejriwal, seeking 15 days of judicial custody in the excise policy issue. The Delhi court has prolonged Arvind Kejriwal’s ED custody until April 1. Kejriwal was brought before the Rouse Avenue Court following the completion of his Enforcement Directorate custody remand. In a show of unity, ‘INDIA’ bloc leaders gathered at a ‘loktantra bachao’ (save democracy) protest on Sunday and accused the NDA government of being “dictatorial” and “misusing” the ED and other central agencies to “rig” Lok Sabha elections by imprisoning opponents and freezing party bank accounts.
Sunita Kejriwal, Arvind Kejriwal’s wife, previously started a WhatsApp campaign called ‘Kejriwal ko Ashirwad’ in support of Delhi’s chief minister. Sunita Kejriwal stated in a digital media conference that her husband has confronted the country’s “most corrupt and dictatorial forces” and has requested people to bless and pray for him.
